Benjamin Patton, descendant of a distinguished military lineage including General George S. Patton, Jr., is the founder and Executive Director of the Patton Veterans Project (PVP). This non-profit organization uses filmmaking to help veterans cope with posttraumatic stress (PTS) and build community. Since 2011, PVP has conducted over 75 film workshops, assisting nearly 1400 veterans in creating more than 300 short films about their service-related challenges. Patton's background includes nearly two decades in television and music production in New York City, as well as running Patton Productions, which created private video biographies of veterans and military families. He authored "Growing Up Patton," a memoir about his father, and has been featured in various media outlets. Patton holds degrees from Georgetown University and Columbia University-Teachers College, and was recently awarded the Meritorious Public Service Medal by the United States Army. He balances his time between Manhattan and Garrison, NY, with his wife and two young sons.
