
Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Joshua “JT” Stevens served in the United States Army for 25 years. JT initially enlisted in the infantry before earning his commission as an infantry officer through ROTC at the University of Maine at Orono. During his service, he was assigned to a
variety of infantry and Army Special Operations Forces units, including the 10th Mountain Division (Light), the 82nd Airborne Division, the 75th Ranger Regiment, United States Army Special Operations Command, the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, and the 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (Airborne). JT deployed multiple times throughout his career, including three deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal (second award), Joint Service Commendation Medal (second award), Combat Action Badge, Ranger Tab, Pathfinder Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Iraqi Campaign Medal (with two campaign stars), Joint Meritorious Unit Medal, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation, among others.
JT is an avid alpinist who spends his time exploring the Colorado Rocky Mountains as a rock climber and snowboarder. He developed and oversees the CRF rock climbing program and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of CRF participation in the Veterans Games.
