Marley Mardock is a recent graduate from Colorado State University where she received her doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. Marley completed her doctoral capstone project with the Combat Recovery Foundation where she investigated the efficacy of using horses, nature and occupational therapy as tools for improving the mental health of veterans. Although not a veteran herself, Marley has always held deep respect and admiration for those who have served our country and hopes to use her education to serve the veteran population. Before attending graduate school, Marley worked for Rocky Mountain National Park for ten seasons as a mule packer and trail crew worker where she grew a profound appreciation for the healing power of wilderness and nature. She hopes to combine her love of horses and passion for the backcountry and nature in a way that can better mental health and the lives of people around her in future career endeavors. In her spare time, Marley enjoys everything about being in the mountains, backpacking, fly fishing, riding her motorcycle, spending time with her beloved dog Paisley and her favorite hobby of trail running.
