
Raised in Longmont, Colorado, Dave Patterson began his service in 1980 when he joined the U.S. Army as a Military Police officer. He went on to serve as a Game Warden at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was awarded the Army’s Humanitarian Service Award for his dedicated service during the Mariel Boatlift humanitarian crisis. After his time with the military, Dave had many adventures and ultimately became Operations Manager at Miller Farms in Platteville, CO, where his leadership and work ethic made a lasting impact.
Today, Dave is a cornerstone of the Combat Recovery Foundation team. He provides peer coaching, volunteers in the courts to support justice-involved veterans, and is known as a kind, reliable presence for anyone in need. Always willing to step up, Dave shares his passion for the outdoors by taking veterans fishing, helping them find peace and connection on the water. His steady service, compassion, and commitment embody the very heart of CRF’s mission.
